It is time for the United States to respect the rights of the Palestinian people in their homeland and support their demand for a just peace. The world community supports an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands, the end of building colonies in Palestine and the dismantling of those that were build in violation of international law. Settlements/colonies are the main obstacle for peace and justice and so is the denial of the rights of the Palestinian refugees as stated in UNGA resolution 194.
Mr. President, it is time for you to support unequivocally an end to the Israeli occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian state without any preconditions. A first step is to abstain from using the veto power in the security council to block Palestinian membership in the UN.
