Support for Passage this [Proposed] "Mike Brown" Legislation which will restore lost trust in our judicial system

Created by M.L. on November 28, 2014

This is a public citizen request proposing "Mike Brown" legislation which would ensure that if a police officer kills an unarmed citizen; under certain suspicious conditions; then a secret "reasonable cause" grand jury decision is not sufficient and a pubic "beyond a reasonable doubt" trial before in the Courts **MUST** be held.

The proposed legislation is as follows:

"regardless of race and regardless of gender, if an officer kills an unarmed citizen and there is (a) no decisive camera video footage of the altercation *and* (b) conflicting eye witness reports exists; then that officer must face a trial before his or her peers; and a secret grand jury decision not to indict is not sufficient to resolve the matter."
