SUPPORT Proposition 61, the California Drug Price Relief Act, as a means to rein in runaway drug pricing.

The undersigned hereby call on President Barack Obama to support and endorse Proposition 61, the California Drug Price Relief Act, on the ballot on November 8, and support the tenets of the ballot measure as a first step toward getting control over the outrageous spike in the prices of prescription drugs. This is an acute healthcare crisis that threatens not only the health, well-being and lives of American citizens, but imperils the solvency of public healthcare programs at the Federal and state levels. In the absence of any action on drug prices by a Congress that is paralyzed and afraid to act in the face of drug industry lobbying and campaign contributions, Proposition 61 deserves the public support of the President of the United States.
