The Bill of Rights was written over 200 years ago, and the Founders - for all their wisdom - did not have the prescience to include "e-mail" when they drafted the Fourth Amendment.
We ask that the White House acknowledge that emails are to us what letters were to the people who created this country: a means by which to communicate our thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
We deserve privacy in these areas, and it must be made clear that the Constitution protects all of our private communications against "unreasonable searches and seizures", no matter the medium.
