The Obama Administration should recognize Islamic holidays such as Eid by making them into national holidays and encouraging state level schools and workplaces to follow.
Every year, Muslims in America have to choose in between their livelihoods at work or school and celebrating their beloved religious holidays. In a land where religious equality is so highly prized (and Christmas is a national holiday), it has long passed the appropriate time for this action to be taken for this religion (and other religions in significant number as well).
