Gas prices are now consistently over $3.00 per gallon and rumors of eliminating the penny abound. The 1/10th of a cent does not exist in coinage and all gas pumps are universally set at the maximum 9/10ths of a cent.

Rounding to the nearest full penny provides a more concise and honest presentation.
