Support the Removal of Ed Rush, Coordinator of Basketball Officiating in the Pacific-12 Conference

Created by M.W. on April 04, 2013

Ed Rush, head of Pac-12 basketball officiating, recently attempted to bribe officials into assessing Sean Miller, head coach of the University of Arizona men's basketball team, technical fouls during the Pac-12 tournament. At this tournament Sean Miller was, in fact, given a dubious technical foul. Offering a bribe to influence the outcome of a sporting event is a CRIME in many jurisdictions. However, Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott has thus far taken no action against Ed Rush, brushing the matter as a joke. President Obama has shown a great deal of concern for the state of college athletics, and for the student-athletes -- without whose efforts these sports would not exist. Dozens of respected commentators have called for Rush's removal. We hope the President can be counted among them.
