On Feb/28/2016, China shut down the microblogging accounts of Ren Zhiqiang after he criticised President Xi Jinping.
Mr. Ren Zhiqiang is a Chinese personality. He is famous for his speaking out the truth without reservation, especially when talking about democracy and legislation.
The Cyberspace Administration of China accused Mr Ren of publishing "illegal messages that had a bad impact".
The "illegal message" is :
"State media were funded by taxpayers and should serve them, not the Communist Party"
This message clearly announced freedom of speech and government is not entitled to manipulate media. Ren is fighting for the human rights of every Chinese.
President Obama should support this effort of pursuing freedom of speech by talking to Xi Jinping to recover Ren's accounts.
