Support Rep. Cynthia Lummis's Bill (H.R. 2247), that would allow for importation of historic WWII-era rifles in S. Korea

Created by D.E. on August 14, 2013

We The People respectfully petition President Obama to support the bill H.R. 2247, introduced June 4, 2013, by Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), which would allow for the importation of historic WWII-era military rifles from South Korea.

Presently, tens of thousands of WWII vintage rifles lay in storage in warehouses across South Korea. These relics of American Military History should be relocated to their home land and placed in the rightful hands of American citizens through the government's Civilian Marksmanship Program. Our supply of WWII rifles is quickly dwindling, and it would be a true shame to allow the tools of Freedom Past to be left to rot on foreign soil.

These pieces of our history belong to the American people, and we ask the government to do its part in bringing them home.
