The Patriot Act and "Homeland Security" are both in direct violation of the 1st and 4th Amendments. These travesties should never have been allowed to happen in the first place. The White House should be supporting the repeal of the former and the dismantling of the latter. As Benjamin Franklin so aptly put it, "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
