The NASA probe on Mars, "Opportunity" has recently uncovered what NASA technologists have affectionately labeled as the "jelly doughnut". The purported "rock" appeared in the same exact location 12 days after a previous survey/ photo record was conducted where no such rock or other matter was recorded. While likely not "new life" further investigation has merit.
Dr. (Phd.) Rhawn Joseph, Palo Alto, CA believes that the object is not a rock but potentially a form of fungus or other matter and petitioned NASA to conduct further analysis. NASA demurred, stating that the object was a rock and likely flipped over (though the photo evidence shown to date does not support this "tidily wink" theory). A suit has been filed in US Dist Court. In this matter POTUS should enjoin NASA to investigate
