There was a time in our history when communities owned and stored devastating weapons of war. History marches onward, and we are seeing the terrible affects of uncontrolled legislation regarding Weapons of War.
We state that the purpose of this petition is to lobby the administration to support the advancement of federal laws designed to encourage private owners to sell assault rifles and other weapons principally designed or suited to warfare to their local communities, provided they can be stored in secure armories controlled by the town or county government, and accessible only to a well-regulated citizen militia designated by said town or county, which in Principle would not preclude the State's National Guard, but must allow other organizations not controlled by Federal Law.
