support the right of people to assemble in order to protest peacefully.

Created by J.S. on October 26, 2011

The recent reactions by state and local governments to Occupy movement protests that are peaceful assemblies is unconstitutional. People, according to the constitution, have the right "peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances". If the Occupy movement is nothing else, it is a de facto petition. Occupy is seeking, by way of protest, change and reparations for the economic and financial hardships put upon many by the unfair practices and policies of a few.
