The education minister wants to promote the use of Spanish over the use of Catalan, making Catalan "an opcional subject" in secondary education, so Catalan people could speak Spanish, English and French better than Catalan and graduate in school without speaking or writing it.
We want this law not to be passed as Catalan is the Catalan people's language and we have to take care of it and promote its use and also its teaching and learning.
