Support the rights of the Occupy movement to freedom of assembly, and demand permits for long term Occupation!

Created by D.Y. on October 26, 2011

This is a petition to request Presidential intervention as the various cities attempt to squelch the Occupy movement by refusing the Constitutional right to freedom of speech, and freedom of assembly. As Citizens of the United States we have the Constitutional right to assemble and demand just treatment from the Government of the United States, as well as the local, and state governments.

We are repeatedly seeing these rights violated, with trivial justification, to silence what we are trying to say. They refuse us permits, that should not be necessary, to exorcise our rights. We are asking the President, to support us in our right to assemble safely and respectfully, without being assaulted and abused by state and local authorities.

We have the right to assemble and be heard.
