We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Support S.764, which includes provisions for labeling food with QR codes.

Created by M.R. on July 17, 2016

On July 7, the Senate passed a bill to label genetically modified foods allowing companies to use QR codes instead of words on the package.

In 2007 President Obama said, “We’ll let folks know whether their food has been genetically modified because Americans should know what they’re buying.”

We believe the QR code provisions of the bill are well designed to accomplish the President's goal while allowing the companies to include far more information and explanation than is possible on the packaging and urge the President to sign this bill into law.
