We are a group of Rotarians in Overbrook, KS. Rotary International has worked steadily, with the goal of eliminating Polio across the world. We believe that the US, UN and Heads of Governments should support the safety of Health Workers, including Rotarians, that are working to end Polio.
In Pakistan, who's city of Peshawar boasts the "world's largest polio reservoir", the Taliban is targeting and killing these vaccination workers. "Since mid-2012, 32 polio health workers have been killed, according to Unicef." [1]
When Bill Gates spoke at Rotary International, this was one of his greatest worries -- getting the vaccine through the Taliban.
