The Administration defends the right of a British subject, under the US Constitution, to exercise the freedom of speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment. In responding to the "Deport Piers Morgan" petition the administration said:
"...the Constitution not only guarantees an individual right to bear arms, but also enshrines the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press — fundamental principles that are essential to our democracy..."
We ask that the Administration live up to this statement and discontinue the pursuit of stringent new gun legislation which infringes upon the unfettered Second Amendment rights of the law abiding citizens of this democratic republic.
