ROOFTOP SOLAR is the energy of the future!
Issues with fossil fuels are obvious - pollution, risk of catastrophies, energy loss in transmission, health issues, reliance on foreign sources, etc. Nuclear has catastrophic risks, loss of energy in transmission, nuclear waste issue. Solar Plants/Wind Farms - negative impact to envirnments, risk of loss of a plant, cost of energy transmission.
The only answer is localized, own-generated SOLAR energy (rooftop panels, and similar).
Most buildings already can be energy-neutral or produce energy, not talking about innovation potential (hint: use NASA).
GOVERNMENT MUST LEAD by EXAMPLE and install solar panels, windows, etc on all buildings and switch to all-electric fleet, also saving lots of money.
