In response to your Statement of Administration Policy regarding H.R. 6429, we petition you to reconsider supporting this bill. Our country's technology industry is in dire need of talent. Today it is becoming more difficult to find the STEM talent needed to support the growing science and technology industry. Making it easier to retain foreign talent will allow our country to keep its position as the leader in science and technology. Furthermore, the downstream effects of these new workers improve job creation in other sectors. We understand that you may have other issues with immigration, but your administration should focus on fixing immigration one issue at a time. Playing partisan politics with an important issue such as this is unproductive to the good of our society and econonmy.
