Support the Ukraine’s headway to the EU integration and a civil society

On November 21st 2013 the government of Ukraine adopted a resolution to suspend the preparation process to sign an Association Agreement with the EU. We consider this decision as a direct threat to curtail further reforms towards a democratic and civil society and ask you to take the following actions:
1. Demand the Ukrainian government to enact and effectively enforce a legislature that ensures
a) Independence of justice system from the executive power;
b) Freedom of speech and peaceful protests;
c) Fair and competitive elections.
2. Demand the Russian Federation to stop mounting trade barriers by introducing discriminatory tariffs and excessive regulations on the Ukrainian goods. In case of its persistence, introduce reciprocal trade barriers between the USA and Russian Federation.
