As the battle between government protesters and the heavily Russian influenced government escalates, suppression of protests are becoming increasingly violent. This outburst of violence from the Ukrainian government demonstrates their thirst for power and the lack of consideration given to its citizens. The citizens of Ukraine continue to fight for their freedom against this regime in favor of closer ties with the European Union instead of being forced into trade agreements with Russia under their current President, Viktor Yanukovych. This petition proposes that the U.S. aids the Ukrainian citizens in their fight for freedom from Russian influence and a cold, inconsiderate government that has put many lives in jeopardy. The U.S. should provide relief and usher out the oppressive regime.
