U.S. Military Veterans should have a discrete program and facilities that allow them to develop the necessary human, social, and financial capital to bridge the gap between Military life and Entrepreneurial life.
Research shows that entrepreneurship is the cornerstone of American prosperity and that all net job creation in the United States comes from startup companies. We also know that Veterans are at least 45 percent more likely to start new businesses than their non-serving counterparts. The importance of entrepreneurship in job creation, the high rate of starting businesses among Veterans, along with the large number of new Veterans entering civilian status, provide a unique opportunity to drive economic growth.
