This petition ask the Obama Administration to support an intiative to bring scientists, engineers, reseachers and practioners together from academia, industry and the government to aggressively research and develop innovations that can reduce and mitigate the occurrence and impact of gun violence.
As a STEM professional, I want to challenge the nation to support the reduction in gun violence and mass shootings through innovation. This challenge involves STEM professionals and the nation coming togther to analyze gun violence and mass shootings in order to determine what resources in the STEM community should be researched such that they can be developed or revised as innovative products. The outcome can be an roadmap to initiate STEM innovation focused research against gun violence
