support the USPS and the economy by mailing printed copies of Dr. Paul Krugman's NY Times column daily to each American

Created by F.L. on February 09, 2013

Economists agree that we suffer from a lack of spending. The USPS is a particularly poignant victim of this. We therefore petition the US government begin to print and mail copies of Dr. Paul Krugman's NY Times column to every American every business day. A nice $5.00 full color glossy (with a signed photo suitable for framing) could be sent 252 business days per year to 300 million Americans, injecting $378 billion (+2.5%) annually into US GDP, before Keynesian multipliers and the double counting of related G and C in the GDP formula kick in. This would simultaneously solve the recession and USPS solvency in one policy action, while enabling the economy to run at full potential GDP, according to macroeconomic models. We urge you to implement this without delay.
