Every locality in this country has lost soldiers in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Every locality has infrastructure that needs rebuilding. We need to remember these men and women, and we have infrastructure in need of repair. Couldn't we honor our fallen heroes by naming rebuilt roads and bridges (and runways, dams, piers, canals, levees, railways, etc.) after them? Couldn't we honor them by literally dedicating the renewal --the physical rebuilding-- of our country to them?
