The revolution of June 30th was a revolution of the people. Millions of Egyptians went to the streets, protesting the regime of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood decided not to heed the will of the people, choosing instead to put themselves over their citizens. The only group to support the will of the people was the Egyptian military. The military took down the regime simply because it was what the people wanted.
The people of both Egypt and the U.S ask that for the sake of peace in the Middle East, the United States support the military's decision. By condemning the actions of the military, the U.S government condemns the will of the people. The U.S has vowed to ally itself not with the regime but with the Egyptian people. We ask the administration to uphold the will of the people.
