In light of the Supreme Court ruling on the Hobby Lobby case and the wave of regulations over the past few years, not only restricting access to abortion, but access to contraception and other medical services (like cancer screenings and prenatal care) that are provided at women's health clinics, it is clear that women's freedom needs to be explicitly protected by law. The controversy stirred by extremists surrounding female reproductive care has got to stop; women are people, not incubators, and have the right to pursue life, liberty and happiness just as men do. Men's sex lives go largely unquestioned while women need legislation to protect their reproductive rights. Women have the right to make personal choices without the consult or approval of others including if/when to have a child.
