The current voluntary designation of $3.00 allowed on the Federal 1040 tax forms to a fund supporting Presidential elections would be eliminated and this designation would be changed to create a fund to supplement the care for wounded veterans.
It is clear adequate private funding is available to provide resources for candidates running a viable campaign for president and it is no longer necessary to supplement these resources with tax funds.
It is clear that individuals serving in the military and in such capacity are wounded deserve support in addition to that currently provided. This fund would be used to provide that purpose. It is stipulated that these resources supplement all current funding for these purposes and such funding should not be decreased.
