Supreme Court to review and overturn discrimination case involving hiring guidelines restricting applicants with high IQ

Created by J.R. on September 25, 2014

Please petition SCOTUS to review 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision in 2000 that the city of NY did not discriminate against Robert Jordan as the city had "“shown a rational basis for the policy."

Qualified people, passionate for a career in law enforcement are being turned away because they score too high (~125 or better) on a IQ. Whatever the "rational basis" the city had shown should be reviewed in contrast today, with the backdrop of the consequences of truly deflating the average intelligence of armed public servants.
The above case was itself an appeal to a lower court and the only appellate court that can overturn this decision appears to be the SCOTUS. Also note Federal Laws Prohibiting Job Discrimination http://www.eeoc.gov/facts/qanda.hml
