The Republicans cannot be allowed to control the Supreme Court. Therefore, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders should both pledge to nominate President Obama to fill Justice Scalia’s seat, if the Republicans refuse to confirm President Obama’s nominee before either President Clinton or President Sanders takes office in 2017. This would place the Republican Senate in the position of either confirming President Obama’s nominee, or confirming the nomination of President Obama to the Supreme Court in 2017.
