Drones can strike anytime and anywhere with reportedly poor ability to discriminate legitimate military targets from noncombatants. With impunity, they can strike within nations that are not at war. With impunity, they can strike civilian areas.
While they have proven effective to combat terrorist threats, they themselves have become instruments of terror within foreign populations. In short, it would appear America is becoming the very terrorist threat it set out to fight. Is it valid to sacrifice the American tradition of human rights and the pursuit of liberty by all under any circumstance? America is supposed to lead the way in bringing the World democracy, freedom, and a more humane society.
