my petition would suspend the pay and benefits for ALL members of Congress during Government shutdowns, now and in the future. It is appalling that members of the military defending our country are not paid during Government shutdowns. Our military members and their family members are sacrificing for their Country while politicians from both sides of the aisle are bickering and pointing fingers. Compromise must be the order of the day and if one cant be reached then no payday.
