Suspend all pay and benefits for memebers of congress until a solution to avert the "Fiscal Cliff" is accomplished.

The US Congress has placed our great country in a dangerous position by enacting legislation that contains "Triggers", whose purpose is to encourage bipartisan solutions to the country's fiscal matters. While the intent was good, unyielding partisan politics have ground the wheels of congress to a halt. To further encourage a solution to this "Fiscal Cliff" that our elected leaders have imposed upon us, it is proposed that all pay and benefits for members of congress and their families be suspended until a solution is reached. Sacrifice is something that should start at the top first, not at the bottom. Our elected officials should serve as an example of what to aspire to, not as an untouchable entity.
