The fact that are military face penalty among thousands of other federal employees from a government shutdown is ridiculous. In the case of a government shutdown, no member of the House of Representatives or Senate shall receive a salary until resolved and a functional government has been restored.
To see our leaders in congress continue to thrive and remain unaffected in a situation that is a result of their actions (or failure to act) is asinine and should no longer be supported. Please, remove their salary and treat them like a member of a federal government, not above it. This is for all democrats and republicans alike.
