SUSPEND ALL STATE LEGISLATION TO DEREGULATE MARIJUANA UNTIL AN EFfECTIVE BREADTH-O-LYZER TEST IS NATIONALLY AVAILABLE.

Created by P.L. on December 27, 2012

Currently there is no field test for determining if an individual is impaired in their ability to drive a vehicle under the influence of marijuana. Several states have or are moving to de-criminalize the 'recreational use' of marijuana. This can result in a danger to vehicle drivers, occupants and others and can lead to marijuana impaired vehicle injuries and deaths of several thousands per year similar to current alcohol related accidents. Until a valid, field administered test similar to an alcohol breadth-o-lyzer test has been developed, proven to be effective and is widely available, all state efforts to de-criminalize marijuana should be suspended and currently passed laws should be voided.
