April 3, 2013, EPA violated the Clean Air Act and it's "mission" by finalizing a ruling that allowed the release of 34 million lbs of unneeded, ozone depleting R-22 refrigerant into the U.S. environment; benefiting foreign interests, (French & Belgium conglomerates) and causing devastating losses to US businesses and the US economy. The oversupply of R-22 has caused ongoing damage to small businesses, decimating refrigerant reclamation, which in 2012 reclaimed 9.5 million lbs of R-22, avoiding the manufacture of enough ozone depleting, global warming R-22 annually to equal the emissions from 1.4 million automobiles.
Immediately suspend EPA’s current rule. Stop EPA’s promulgation of the 2015-2019 rule now, that releases an additional 90 million unnecessary lbs of ozone depleting R-22.
