The drought affecting much of the Midwest is quickly ruining crops, reducing yields and threatening food prices. Despite this, the EPA has minimum requirements for the use of biofuels in our gasoline, which means less corn available as food and feed. With high ethanol prices, this could mean a double-blow to Americans with both higher costs at the grocery store and at the fuel pump. The EPA needs to be pressured to suspend their requirements to help mitigate the effects of the drought as much as we can.
