Yulia Tymoshenko has been accused and convicted of corruption charges by the Ukrainian authories. The international community believes that these charges have been fabricated by the Yanukovych adminstration simply due to political motives, so that he does not have to face her again in the next presidential election.
In 2011 the amount of foreign aid given to Ukraine will amount to more than $124 million. The U.S. should suspend all aid to Ukraine until Ms. Tymoshenko has been cleared of wrong-doing and released from custody.
