Suspend the mass production of beef in an effort to preserve water for citizens

Created by C.B. on March 08, 2016

The commercial production of beef has had a devestating effect on the water supply in America and across the globe. It takes about 1,800 gallons of water to produce just one pound of beef. At a time when there is historic drought in different parts of the country this is a model that is both unsustainable and irresponsible. There is currently a global water crisis across the globe and there is more demand with fewer resources. We need to make sure that we do everything we can to ensure that we have the resources needed to sustain life in the long term. Water is essential. Beef is not!
