Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO -- which receives federal funding through medicare and medicaid -- had security remove a patient's partner, using handcuffs, and has reportedly gotten a restraining order against the partner.
The men are civilly united and have power of attorney giving the excluded partner the right to make medical decisions for his partner.
Until Research Medical Center takes action undo this injustice, the hospital should be denied federal funds.
