Many House representatives have stated publicly and without humility that they will not act on any controversial legislation until the mid-term elections are over, to maximize their chances of re-election. This means no legislation on immigration, energy policy, minimum wage, job creation, gun reform, tax reform, unemployment benefits, etc.
For us in the "real world", what kind of job would allow us to continue getting paid while we stop performing our duties?
Their behavior is offensive to those who must work every day to keep our families afloat, while they continue to selfishly focus on protecting their own jobs at our expense.
Given their choice, lets not pay them until they get back to doing the People's work.
