The President and Congress were deadlocked through his first 4 years. To end the deadlock they should feel some of the pain they are inflicting on the majority of USAmericans while protecting business, institutions and the wealthiest 1% of USAmericans from paying into the system they benefit from so lopsidedly. Any time they are deadlocked along party lines or otherwise, pay and benefits will be suspended. When pay and benefits are reinstated, it will be effective from the date of reinstatement only, not retroactively, so lost pay and benefits are permanently lost, as happens to regular citizens on a daily basis, more so if big money continues to run the Hill.
