Because of the political inactivity of the current legislative and executive branches, Federal employees are facing an undetermined furlough without pay. However, the "opulent minority" causing the shutdown continue to draw a salary from the American taxpayer.
Those of us directly affected by this political intransigence, call upon the President and the members of the House to symbolically forgo their salary until the issue is resolved as a sign of solidarity.
As more than 50% of the two branches are already millionaires, the operative word is "symbolically".
