This petition calls on the current administration to suspend sentencing nationally for crimes involving marijuana until a clear answer can be given as to its' legality. Additionally, this petition calls on the current administration to recognize the will of the voters in multiple states and create a solution that ends the futile, pointless, high-cost, low-effect "War on Drugs" that has done nothing to decrease drug use and has in fact increased the crime and murder rate by driving drug sale and use underground. It is a bigger-than-Prohibition level mistake.
