switch to the metric system

The US Customary system makes no sense and has an illogical basis. The metric is used by every country except the United States of America. Unit conversions only create problems and it would be much easier if the United States decided to convert to the metric system.The US Customary system uses random base units. The metric system follows a base ten unit. Everything in the metric system is consistent. Educators are frustrated because they teach both and confuse students. Students are frustrated because the US Customary system makes no sense to them. The work force is frustrated because when they deal with international companies, they are forced to convert the logical metric system to our illogical US Customary system. Make it easier on ourselves and on our international relations.
