Switch retirement pay for Senators and Soldiers

Created by J.T. on December 05, 2012

Upon the completion of their term a Senator, or Congressman/woman is entitled to a full retirement. A full retirement meaning the salaries they earned the day they retired they keep 100%. US Military members who retire after 20 years only draw around 50% of their base pay when they retire, which ranges from $1k-$2k a month. For 20 years of service Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen should be be given more retirement as apposed to someone's 2-4 years of service.

The goal of this petition is to either have the elected officials retirement pay decreased to match other Government employees, or to have retired Service Members retirement pay changed to a full retirement rather than a fraction of what it is based on their years of service.
