Taco Trucks on Every Corner- Respect Street Vendors

Created by J.S. on September 02, 2016

Marco Gutierrez, founder of Latinos for Trump, recently went on national television to warn of "taco trucks on every corner" as an argument in support of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's previous day's immigration speech.

While we deplore Mr. Gutierrez' ignorant comments and condemn the vitriolic hate speech Mr. Trump has espoused during the course of his campaign, we do like the idea of a taco truck on every corner and would like to use this opportunity to raise awareness about the hardships faced by street vendors.

According to the street vendor project, there are more than 10,000 street vendors in New York City alone- most of whom are immigrants struggling to make ends meet. We urge the White House to help street vendors protect their livelihoods and grow their businesses.
