Take action against the bill proposed in Alabama that would allow mandatory, teacher-led prayer in public schools.

Created by D.R. on February 14, 2014

The Alabama House of Representatives proposed a bill that would allow a 15-minute teacher led, mandatory prayer session before classes in public schools within the state. This would violate many fundamental documents written by the founding fathers, and Supreme Court rulings. The first Amendment of the Constitution states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". And in the Fourteenth Amendment, it introduces the concept of incorporation of all Federal rights with States' rights. These are only two of the many examples of violations that can be found if this bill is passed. We the people, ask that the Obama Administration take action against this bill that would violate the religious freedoms of America's children.
