Millions of Americans receive telemarketing calls with a pre-recorded message from "Rachael at Cardmember Services". A June 1, 2012 New York Times article describing these "robocalls" claimed they routinely violate the "Do Not Call" list and "spoof" caller-ID by reporting false source phone numbers. This telemarketing operation has been active for a considerable amount of time, even years, despite numerous complaints filed with the FCC. We therefore petition the President to direct the Department of Justice to investigate this nationwide telemarketing and take steps to enforce the law.
